Intuitive Branding - Sunil Godse
Friday May 06, 2022
Friday May 06, 2022
“When you ignore your intuition, you incur twice the cost.” Sunil Godse
In today’s increasingly complex business environment, the biggest challenge that leaders face is decision making. The constant need to make quick and wise decisions means that leaders have to find resources beyond cognitive processing, that will help them make sound decisions. According to Sunil Godse , intuition plays a central role when making decisions, and can be a great tool for leaders when making business decisions.
Sunil Godse helps those running businesses create a trusted brand by implementing a process he developed called intuitive branding that helps them unleash the power of intuition to make decisions that earns the trust of their employees and customers in under 14 seconds. When that happens, highly talented employees only want to work for them and fiercely loyal customers only prefer buying from them, stripping them away from other brands, which is exactly how they are able to eliminate their competition.
With his experience doing the same as an entrepreneur, it led to over $20 million in revenues, before moving on to helping a significant number of businesses collectively earn millions in revenues, including major brands such as Citibank, SAP, Rogers Wireless, and Western Digital. His advice simply works.
In this episode, Sunil talks about intuition and why is important to understand the role it plays in decision making, especially for business leaders.

The journey of trying to get a good understanding of intuition came after I wrote my first book called Fail Fast, Succeed Faster.
When I thought back to intuition, what we often do is we think back to a time when we ignored it, because that's when intuition was sort of the limelight in our lives.
As an engineer, I needed more of a balance between the art and the science, and so I researched and found that we're actually born with intuition.
The way that intuition works when it comes to trust is that it starts to develop an idea of trust by looking at you and you looking at me and body language tone in as little as 33 milliseconds.
From a business context, if you do things the right way by tapping into your intuition, you earn the trust of your employees and customers within 14 seconds.
From an intuitive perspective, there's four types of intuition that actually inform signals.
First type of intuition is called experiential intuition and is developed from everyday experiences.
The second one is situational intuition and the third of the four is called relational intuition.
The fourth type is called Creative intuition which entails creative creativity and how people make risky decisions.
Commercial break
When you understand that your success is tied to how your intuition speaks to you in terms of the four types and your intuitive signals, then you understand how the intuition of others is going to work.
When you shift from looking at managing positions to managing people in positions, you start to filter people into your business, and allow them to be more productive by using their four types of intuition.
Change your messaging and your sales tactics by simply using your intuition to tap into your customers’ intuition.
When you ignore your intuition, it is twice the cost.
Every decision that you want to make has to flow through the four types of intuition, and in that way, you will be able to make the right decision in every situation that you face.

Putting Your Best Face Forward - Howard Zales

“Getting your content and your message out there is so powerful, and video is the best way to do it.” Howard Zales
As times change, we experience new ways that we can use to reach out to the world and tell our stories. With the development of technology, more and more possibilities continue to be unveiled and with them, come both positives and challenges. Our guest today Howard Zales, has experienced both sides of the divide and says that video broadcasting is the way to go especially in the current age.
Howard Zales is an Emmy Award winning Camera Operator who turned his passion for television broadcasting into several entrepreneurial endeavors. Howie created HJZ Productions, Inc in the year 2000 to address the need for professional level sports crewing/staffing in the New York market. Under his leadership, HJZ Productions grew to a multi-million-dollar nationwide provider of top talent in the broadcasting field.
In 2019, Howie and his team founded Viridity Entertainment Services, Inc. (VES) which initially focused on staffing in non-union markets. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, they quickly pivoted to offering best in class, broadcast quality livestreams of professional sports shows and interviews, corporate interviews and meetings, and religious services. In addition, Howie took his love of the television production business and created The TV Sports Course, a hands-on training boot camp for the next generation of television crew professionals.
Howie is a graduate of the State University of New York at Plattsburgh’s Mass Communication program.
In today’s episode, Howie will talk more about how he was able to identify and pursue business opportunities in the media space. He will also provide insights into what having the best production tools, equipment, and spaces is all about.

I started off my career as a camera operator, and worked for NBC Sports and the World Wrestling Entertainment for 25 years.
It is important to me to kind of give back and help others, so I'm all about training the younger generation of people to coach and help them get into the business.
I started HJZ Productions after I realized that there was a business opportunity in staffing sports and entertainment events, and we turned the business into a multimillion-dollar enterprise.
The changes in the TV industry provided another opportunity for us to where we started a business to serve our clients, both with their remote crews and their and their local crews.
Up until COVID, I was still shooting camera and our business HJZ Productions and Viridity Entertainment Services were going strong.
I keep up on the industry and I educate myself a lot as an entrepreneur, because then if you stay stagnant, you're not going to grow.
In June, our first company HJZ Productions was hired by West Point to produce the graduation for the cadets and their families because their families can come because of COVID.
My education started with the live streaming and I found ways to monetize the knowledge I had acquired through my business.
Commercial Break
When I was shooting camera, I met a lot of people and heard a ton of inspiring stories, and the live stream has just brought in a whole new horizon of what we're capable of doing.
In live streaming, you need to invest in fast speed and reliable internet.
You also want to invest in a good microphone such as Yeti blues.
Your cameras are also important, and you want to be able to control the focus rather than having the autofocus on.
Good lighting is also important, making sure that you have light on either side of you, and one above the head from the back side.
Be sure to turn your Wi Fi off when using Ethernet because your computer will use Wi fi first if it is set on position
Getting your content and your message out there is so powerful, and video is the best way to do it.

Growing up, I've always been around entrepreneurs. [3:09]
Up until last year 2020, I had my law firm but then I felt that I needed to transition from law and follow my passion full time. [4:11]
I've been doing my coaching for four years, but now it's going to be the main thing which I feel is the next phase of what I'm going to be known for. [5:18]
When you take that step, and say that you are ten toes down to my passion, there's just nothing like it. [5:34]
There are so many areas that are now encroaching into the legal field. [7:04]
The other thing that I've started to see is that even at universities that are offering experts in certain fields to be able to represent clients. [7:35]
I take everything that I have learned in my journey and bring to my clients that can't afford to have an on staff General Counsel. [8:34]
This is my passion because here is where I can do the most good and I can help the most people. [9:04]
My interest in this area is very personal which stems from a disappointment of seeing other people do what I wanted my family to do. [11:03]
I had an epiphany about it and people started reaching out to me asking about how to protect their products. [13:28]
I realized that there are a lot of people working with service-based industries, with no one working with them. [14:07]
I have that information and expertise to help people be confident that they have everything in order to get to that big box retail store. [14:52]
I've had people ask why I chose this direction when stores were closing because people are choosing to be online. [15:17]
I always try to tell people not to be concerned with what's happening today because what's happening today is a result of a decision that was made in the past. [17:14]
I encourage people to be ahead of the curve, so that when the shift happens, they're not trying to get back in. [17:16]
I always encourage the people that I work with research to look at what's not being reported, or look at something in a different perspective. [17:28]
Commercial break. [18:38]
The biggest lesson that that I've learned, is that you cannot do it yourself. [22:47]
You need to have people that have gone before you where you're sort of following on their footprints because wisdom is so valuable. [23:00]
The compliance aspect is so huge as well as understanding how to build your capacity to the point that you can meet the demand. [25:32]
We like to say that we assist you in becoming the obvious choice in your industry. [27:54]
Always follow your passion because it will never lead you to anywhere except the road for success. [29:02]

Know Your Worth and Demand It - Lauren Kennedy
Friday Jan 28, 2022
Friday Jan 28, 2022
“Know your worth and start demanding people treat you the way that you believe you're worthy.” Lauren Kennedy
Automation of functions can be a game changer not only for the businesses, but for clients as well. Understanding how those systems can work optimally for your business is key to the growth of the business. Even more important is taking into consideration the people aspect while automating our businesses. This is according to our guest today, Lauren Kennedy.
Lauren Kennedy is the founder of Coastal Consulting, a people-first marketing automation agency focused on HubSpot and Salesforce. She is an innovative leader, not only in the service her team provides but also in the delivery and ecosystem surrounding it. She embodies the people-first approach and takes every opportunity to grow, nurture, and develop those around her.
Lauren is a mission-driven woman on a trajectory to change the way business is done, both for employees and customers. Underneath all of that, a leader worth following. She has created an agency environment that focuses on the person behind the solution, both for the team and the client.
In today’s episode, Lauren talks about how her company helps businesses to solve their pain points. She also highlights on how having a people centered approach has been the greatest asset in driving growth for her business.

I left corporate America in March of 2021, and started coastal consulting and have really grown as a leader and a marketing automation expert this year. [2:40]
I have grown to help my clients shock their potential by making HubSpot and Salesforce understandable, approachable and easier. [3:08]
My team helps your systems do work for you instead of the other way around. [3:35]
It is great to be able to touch many companies and help them take control of their systems, make them work for them and get some return. [4:39]
Salesforce is the leading CRM on the market where all the interactions you have with your customer are stored. [5:17]
Salesforce at its core lacks marketing automation tool, and so what HubSpot does is, it adds the automation layer to Salesforce. [5:25]
From my experience, HubSpot is the most user-friendly platform which has grown to not just being a marketing automation tool, but also a CRM. [6:21]
The integration connects all your teams and aligns them around your customer data so that they can actually act on that. [6:38]
A lot of companies who are smaller have a ton of systems that they use for all these different things. [8:48]
HubSpot integrates all these functions and grows with you as you grow, and you pay more to get to the next level of the subscription. [9:13]
Most of our clients are looking to migrate from a different tool to HubSpot, and are not really sure what they don't know about the system to make sure they're using it fully. [10:27]
Our clients hand to us their pain points and their goals, and then we go to make their systems work for them. [12:33]
Commercial break. [12:52]
A big thing that I've learned through starting a business, is how strong I am and that I'm a lot more resilient that I give myself credit for. [16:05]
The relationship that I've built with myself through this process of believing in my own abilities, and having confidence in me to figure it out, has been a huge personal development. [16:26]
Something that I've learned that I didn't really expect, was my passion for leadership, and during that process, I found that I derive so much more joy from impacting my team's lives. [16:38]
It is no secret that hiring right now is a challenge, and there are a lot of people that are looking for a place that just understands them. [18:27]
Our job posts are focused on the individual, and explains how we got to where we are and where we're going, and the reasons why we need them. [19:59]
It is really powerful to me to be creating a space where people want to be a part of it and have an environment where there's dedicated time and a budget specifically for people to learn. [21:24]
Know your worth and start demanding people treat you the way that you believe you're worthy. [24:26]

Own Your ”I Don’t Know” - Ashleigh Wilson
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
Thursday Jan 27, 2022
“I have learnt to become a leader and not a boss, and how to get others just as invested in my vision, as I am.” Ashleigh Wilson
A key trait of successful entrepreneurs is self-awareness. It is only after they have had an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, that they can be able to identify the opportunities and the necessary conditions to thrive. Our guest today Ashleigh Wilson, followed a path not commonly taken in business, and due to her persistence, she was able to create a product that is not only unique, but fulfilling to her as well.
Ashleigh is a San Francisco based entrepreneur who opened and sold multiple small businesses by the age of twenty until ultimately landing in the elevator business. She excelled in the industry but decided to leave the corporate world to build her own (ethical) path where she founded AuditMate, the first-ever elevator and escalator auditing and management software.
In today’s episode, Ashleigh talks about her journey that led to the founding her business. She also talks about some of the things that she has learnt in the course of her journey.

I was raised in the elevator industry and I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. [3:14]
I joined the elevator industry in my early 20s, and I thought that I would surely be the first woman CEO of Schindler elevator. [4:10]
I realized that people didn't understand their contracts, and the salespeople didn't understand how to explain to people what they were getting because it didn't make sense. [4:30]
AuditMate was born out of a passion of believing that clients don't need to be elevated or experts, they just need honest and transparent information. [5:26]
AuditMate monitors all aspects of clients’ elevator service contracts and we audit on over 200 data points to ensure contract compliance. [6:12]
What we do to help people is really just trying to be fair, and doing our best to be as honest and transparent as possible. [7:02]
On top of our software, we also have a product line called Safe, which is our specifications and field evaluations. [10:44]
When an elevator company writes an elevator contract, they write it to protect them, not to protect you. [11:02]
We write elevator contracts to protect the owners, and it's the only truly enforceable elevator service contract in the market. [11:11]
It is so important to me that we discuss networking as women in business and any minority group. [13:35]
I am a firm believer in owning my I don't knows and not glossing them when I am not sure. [20:02]
Commercial break. [21:00]
Never stop learning because as you're growing into being an entrepreneur, there's a lot of learning and unlearning. [24:35]
The biggest lesson I have had, is that nobody knows what they're doing, and that's given me a lot of solace. [25:34]
A big solid other learning is owning that this journey is mine, but I can never get AuditMate to the place that I want to get to by myself. [26:43]
I have learnt to become a leader and not a boss, and how to get others just as invested in my vision, as I am. [27:17]
It is going to be scary, but do it anyway. [31:40]

I'm celebrating my 30th year in marketing since I graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with English and art history double major. [3:01]
I got a job with Calvin Klein in the broadcast division and was made the head of what they used to call new media which was online media and digital. [3:17]
I went into pure.com and was the head of promotion at Village in New York, which was the first website for women. [4:18]
When I was ready to start my own firm and to become a consultant, I was really armed with a lot of experience that I can bring multiple viewpoints to my clients. [4:58]
It can be overwhelming as a marketer to have so much data that you don't know how to make it actionable. [6:22]
We try to keep it simple and look at five key performance indicators per engagement and that helps us to focus. [6:35]
Most people don't focus on the whys and all the nuances of their journey and their experience. [7:47]
Looking at how your customer experiences you at every stage of the funnel, and focusing at being good and delivering at every point of the journeys is really important. [7:57]
We are industry agnostic and our clients benefit from our being in multiple industries at any given time. [9:47]
For a lot of these franchisors, having multi-unit operators gives them a level of sophistication versus an owner operator. [14:06]
When you buy a franchise, it is about the level of ongoing support available. [14:57]
People are working so hard, but just taking care of your team and yourself and being a little bit more focused on that is critical. [16:31]
Commercial break. [16:52]
I started small doing whatever I could get my hands on, and after my partner joined me four years ago, we worked together and started scaling the company. [20:21]
The biggest lesson as an entrepreneur was that you can be the most phenomenal entrepreneur, but if you are not selling all the time, then you don't have a business. [22:06]
I started doing it more over the last two years, and now I'm very comfortable negotiating. [22:42]
If you look at different conversations since Covid, we're having an authentic conversation with potential targets about what we do and we're telling you in a really real way. [24:28]
We don't establish trust through talking, but by deeply sitting still, and trying to understand what the other person is saying. [25:36]
If you can live a life where someone feels better after leaving your presence than they did when they entered it, you have lived a life well lived. [26:16]
When I was writing my business plan almost six years ago, the wild coffee plant was growing outside the window. [27:00]
It was a vibrant plant that I would have to cut back because it grew so well, and had some energy and I thought that would be the perfect metaphor for this company. [27:27]
It's a little tough for everybody right and we're all faced with a lot but we have to keep going right now. [29:04]

Becoming A Conscious Parent - Nina Cruz
Monday Jan 24, 2022
Monday Jan 24, 2022
“We have the power to create the environment, create the space and get curious about what's really going on.” Nina Cruz
Practicing mindfulness while making parenting decisions, can go along way in ensuring better connections and relationships between parents and their children. Our guest today Nina Cruz, has been helping parents understand and cope better with parenting challenges, and says it is all about focusing on learning self rather than being fixated on molding the child your way.
Nina Cruz is a certified Conscious Parent Coach, Social Worker (BSW), and Meditation Teacher who’s made it her mission to support parents through shifting archaic parental paradigms, many of which contribute to increased stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and feelings of disconnection for themselves, their partners, and their children. Her approach to coaching revolves around trauma-informed care that puts others at-ease, providing a safe space for everyone to facilitate their individual healing and growth.
Nina knows that when a parent's inner world shifts, the whole family shifts with them in extraordinary ways, changing parent-child dynamics that foster relationships of love, harmony, and genuine familial connection. Families that gain a new sense of awareness through knowledge and understanding of their own narratives effectively create a new blueprint for themselves—this is why one of Nina’s many passions is encouraging parents to do their own Inner Work so they can experience more freedom and joy while balancing everything life has to throw at them.
In addition to incorporating meditation and mindfulness practices into her work, Nina also organizes online and in-person parent networking events, where parents of all walks of life share and revel in their successes, failures, and self-improvement journeys. Nina leads these events so her attendees can become Creators of their lives and attract more of what they desire by aligning with Universal Laws.
In today’s episode, Nina discusses the concept of conscious parenting and why it is important not only to children and parents, but the society as a whole.

I coach parents and support them to find and build more connections with their children by helping them to look at their own patterns and paradigms. [3:42]
Behavior is the tip of the iceberg, what goes on beneath the surface is something different and a lot of this stems from childhood. [4:14]
It is very hard to look in the mirror and so I support parents to do that in a real comforting way. [5:53]
By shifting, you change your legacy, the trajectory of your children's children, and it basically changes the world. [6:50]
A lot of the times we're parenting out of ego but basically no one wins, because you meet your child with resistance and they’ve got resistance too because of ego. [10:04]
It is learning, unlearning and a new way of looking at your child as your teacher and that the child before you is actually growing you up. [10:17]
By looking at parenting through the lens of my child is teaching me, it no longer becomes about blaming and shaming the child, but taking your power back as a parent. [10:30]
Parenting is about growing you up, and not the child before you. [12:24]
The child is perfect and we need to step back and get out of the way and not try and mold and shape them into who they need to become. [12:27]
It is a whole different way of experiencing and looking at parenting, and that's why it's so transformational. [12:50]
Our children are amazing at showing us where we are out of alignment. [13:30]
When you have parents that are very strict, and there's fear-based parenting, children go under and hide things. [18:34]
We have the power to create the environment and create the space and get curious about what's really going on. [18:55]
Commercial break. [19:58]
Your child is going to do what you do because they're picking up your energy. [23:24]
We all have our mess ups but we need to learn from it. [25:47]
The first great lesson I have learnt in my entrepreneurial journey is to trust the process and trusting myself. [27:06]
It is incredible when you come from that intention of what you're wanting to create and not from a strategy that you told to do. [28:33]
In terms of manifesting what you want in your life, our subconscious mind is what triggers the law of attraction, and manifestation, and we need to be in the vibration of what we're trying to create. [29:12]
If you want to create, you need to step into the energy of what you're creating, and that opens up ideas and synchronicities. [30:28]
The more you can get into that vibration and takeaction from that space, the result would be different. [31:28]
If you are a parent, get your priorities set and don’t sweat the small stuff. [31:13]
You are the director and curator of your own movie, and don’t be an extra in your movie but rather get in the driver’s seat. [34:47]

In my late 20s, I realized that working for someone else was not going to make my life feel meaningful. [3:31]
I left corporate and opened up my own holistic nutrition practice out of my teeny tiny apartment in Manhattan. [3:51]
At some point I needed to figure out how to get clients and I created the client attraction system which I became known for. [4:31]
I learned that what gets you to six figures a month consistently in your business will never get you to a million, and to get there, you actually need to work less. [5:58]
Once I understood the concept of leverage in business, I began to leverage every aspect of my business, which eventually got me to seven figures. [6:20]
Once you apply the eight leverage activators, which are all featured in the book, ‘The Leveraged Business,’ it will take you to multiple figures every year. [7:12]
Getting your business to earning multiple figures has nothing to do with the money, but rather about who you become, and how many lives you've impacted. [8:59]
I've been teaching the program for more than 10 years, and I put it all into a book. [10:22]
It starts with leveraging a team because you need people to help you simply because you cannot do it all on your own. [10:30]
There are four things that you're looking for when hiring including the skill set, experience, wiring, and culture fit. [11:26]
Next is to leverage your systems whereby anything that's done more than once in your business needs a system and a procedure around it. [11:48]
The other is to leverage your time which is about having the visionary getting into their unique zone of genius and that is where you exponentially grow your business. [12:37]
The fourth activator is called leverage your business model where you need to change your mindset around how to deliver your work in the world. [13:38]
Every time you pull yourself out of the day to day of your business a little bit more, there is a part of you that's required to create the system to give guidance to the team. [16:11]
Once you've got your leverage your team, systems, time and business model, the nest step is to leverage your marketing. [17:15]
Leveraging your marketing is about becoming omnipresent. [17:35]
This then leads us to leverage your accountability where we have everyone know that they are responsible for growing the business. [18:01]
The seventh activator is differentiation where you look to never have to compete with anyone. [20:05]
Activator number eight is leverage your lifestyle which is about starting to live your ideal life now rather than later. [21:49]
Most entrepreneurs believe that the person who founded the business should be running the business, and that could not be further from the truth. [23:11]
Hiring a person that you can trust, who is wired opposite from how you're wired is how you can let go of the white knuckling around your business. [23:22]
Commercial break. [25:03]
Your business cannot grow until you shift you inside, because leveraging your business starts in your mindset. [29:04]
When leveraging your team, there is a mindset shifts that need to happen for you to hire a rock star team. [30:16]
A lot of people try to do it on their own and wondering why it's not working, and the reason is because true transformation happens when we are witnessed. [32:21]
Most of the time you know you are supposed to do better, but you're not doing it, and that is because isolation breeds self-doubt. [33:09]
When you are surrounded by mentors, you start to believe in yourself and there is no way you cannot succeed. [34:15]
If you understand how you are wired, and instead of beating yourself up, you get structured for your nature, there is nothing you can’t do. [37:23]
Understand that there has never been anybody like you, and your song needs to be heard far and wide. [39:24]
